People in modern American society have become so jaded, so “sophisticated”, and so accustomed to their surroundings that they fail to appreciate the blessings that have been bestowed upon them.
If you have traveled to other countries, you know that most of the world lacks what Americans take for granted. Uninterrupted electrical power, readily available food, consistent online access, satellite television, and paved roads are among the advantages that Americans have over most of the countries in the world.
But when was the last time you noticed someone being thankful for it all? In reality, Americans complain whenever things do not go precisely as they wish. Americans are spoiled, thinking that somehow they deserve everything they have.
Americans have forgotten the humility that comes with counting one’s blessings. We have been truly blessed, and it is a spiritual crime that most Americans do not appreciate their many blessings. I thought it was time to remind you of some of them.
Remember that without God life is not worth living. And remember to thank Him for the Blessings he has seen fit to bestow upon you, because so many continue to live without so much that you take for granted.
