Podcast Episode Summary
Grey Gardens the Musical will be playing at the Suzanne Roberts Theater until June 28th. It's based on the 1975 David and Albert Maysles documentary of the same name about a reclusive mother and daughter, former socialites, who lived in squalor in a dilapidated mansion in East Hampton, NY. They were the first cousin and aunt of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Grey Gardens was adapted into a Tony Award-winning Broadway musical in 2006. We'll talk to the creators of the show: lyricist MICHAEL KORIE, composer SCOTT FRANKEL and DOUG WRIGHT, who wrote the book.
