Hopewell release new album + play thrice in the NYC area

If you're in NYC this week, Hopewell (that just released the full length "Good Good Desperation") are playing three very cool shows around the area - one of which is a special performance at All Tomorrow's Parties in Monticello, NY. The Flaming Lips asked the band to perform on their curated Sunday date but asked them to do something a little different. Curious to see what they've put together but can't make it upstate? No worries: Cameo Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn this Thursday, Sept. 10th the band will be performing the piece dubbed the "The Desperation Suite," complete with a female choir and avant-garde saxophonist Mark Marinoff. If psychedelic jams on the high seas is more your speed, you can hang with the band on the Rocks Off boat cruise this Wednesday, Sept. 9th, where Hopewell will play with Matador Records' Dead Meadow.
