Humor: Teacher arrested by air security!

Podcast Episode Summary

Recent events have resulted in the airline industry establishing new and some would say, overly intrusive and oppressive regulations concerning air travel. These days, people are prohibited from carrying ordinary everyday personal items, for fear that they might use them to somehow undermine the safety of their flight. If you have been following the news you are certainly aware of the paranoia that has gripped everyone who works - directly or indirectly - for the United States government, especially including those associated with commercial air transportation. The thing about this humorous look at airline regulations concerning what a passenger can and cannot bring on board an aircraft is that it is actually too believable. As the level of induced paranoia increases exponentially, there is an increasing likelihood of this really happening. We have come so far from our Founding Fathers’ vision of a just and moral society inhabited by righteous and educated people who understand that their government is there to serve, not rule them, and that government’s legitimate powers are only and always to be used to protect the free exercise of each individual Citizen’s God-given rights. This story is fiction, but could it really happen someday... to you?
