THANK U! This week marks four years of podcasting on Podomatic! The first mix posted on 4 25 7, after Da-Doo Dirty Show turned down my offer to become a weekly fixture on its show. At that time (2007), I was extremely excited about this podcast due to a plethora of OUT recording artists on the come-up. For those not in the know… I started scouting
OUT artists back in 1999, when I met the first OUT rap group Rainbow Flava (Dutchboy, Tori Fixx, DJ Monkey) from San Francisco, CA. They came to NYU to perform for a panel I was on, discussing if there was a voice for the LGBT community in Hip-Hop... The answer, of course was, YES! Today, I am PROUD to celebrate this week’s HUMP! mix with the release of my new single: Pass Dat Dutch, featuring Chicago’s OUT rapper Q.B. Of Da’ Midwest. You can spark this single on iTunes, NOW!
