Mental Nomad Podcast 168: Cold Blows the First Love Song

Podcast Episode Summary

So, yes, as stated in a previous text entry, this show has now gone monthly. It's become clear I just can't keep up with a weekly or biweekly schedule anymore, at least not when college is in session. The Monday Morning Mess MAY resume, but that's not certain; during breaks, episodes will probably be more frequent.

Here's what you'll hear today (right-click to download MP3 or to stream it in a new tab or window):

  1. Kaiser Cartel: "This Little Feeling"
  2. Heather Edwards: "Donde Esta Mi Cabeza"
  3. Jeff Wahl: "Saturday Morning"
  4. Rausch: "No Fair"
  5. Modern English: "Blister"
  6. Matthew Dear: "Little People (Black City)"
  7. Rausch: "The Pros and Cons of Linear"
  8. Jeff Wahl: "The Summer That Never Quite Ended"
  9. Huey Lewis and the News: "Little Sally Walker"
  10. Kaiser Cartel: "Before"
  11. Bellowhead: "Cold Blows the Wind"
  12. Heather Edwards: "This Is Not Another Love Song"
  13. Jeff Wahl: "The First Snowfall of the Year"
  14. Kaiser Cartel: "Oh No" (previously featured, but so damn sweet it deserves another spin)
  15. Rausch: "Minimalism"
  16. Josh Charles: "Little Wing"

(Total play time: 1:05:55)

Rausch's music comes to us courtesy of Ariel Publicity. The tracks from Bellowhead, Huey Lewis and Matthew Dear come from the IODA Promonet and may be downloaded at the Blogger site for as long as their promotions last. Jeff Wahl's music was purchased at Magnatune (they're not evil).

Josh Charles' EP of Jimi Hendrix covers may be downloaded for free at his site if you subscribe to his e-mail list. (He's not the actor from the CBS drama The Good Wife and formerly of In Treatment, Dead Poets Society and Sports Night, but that guy kicks ass in his own way.)

I also encourage you to consider buying any of the music you enjoyed in today's show through my site; your commissions are much appreciated by this poor grad student.
