I haven't done one of my short video documentaries in a while but I've been missing doing them. But, I have a rule that I need to be personally interested in my subject to do a video. I could see lots of shows and make videos but if I don't really like what I'm filming than I am not sure I can make the video. If you haven't created video from bits and pieces, it's a lot of work - even at my DIY style.
In the end though when I go back and watch it, it's always worth it. Owen from Casiotone from the Painfully Alone had a killer migraine before the interview so he wasn't even sure he was up for the interview. However, he graciously put then pain aside and sat down with me for the interview. Later he put on a great intimate show of his poignant songs and electronic hymns. Btw, this is part one of a two part video, I got a lot of good material.
