Liam Moran is a former Pittsburgh Opera Resident Artist (2008-10), where he performed as Goro/Madama Butterfly (2008), the lead role in Don Pasquale (2009), Colline/La bohème (2009), Antonio/The Marriage of Figaro (2010), and Collatinus/The Rape of Lucretia (2010), among others.................................................. Recently, he has been seen as Snug/A Midsummer Nightâ??s Dream at Boston Lyric Opera, as well as the title role in Le nozze di Figaro at Annapolis Opera, Colline/La bohème at Austin Lyric Opera, Angelotti/Tosca at Opera Omaha, the concert production Amadeus at the Virginia Arts Festival, and Seneca in the Juilliard Vocal Arts Program production of Lâ??incoronazione di Poppea. Mr. Moran also sang in Haydnâ??s Creation with the Pittsburgh Concert Chorale, and performed the dual roles of Masetto and Commendatore in Don Giovanni with Ash Lawn Opera. Upcoming performances include his return to Annapolis Opera for Frère Laurent/Roméo et Juliette, and to Opera Omaha for Norton/The Marriage Contract. Mr. Moranâ??s concert repertoire ranges from Monteverdi to contemporary composers, and he has performed with orchestras including the National Symphony Orchestra, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Musica Angelica, and Washington Concert Opera. .........................................................He is a prize winner in the Florida Grand Opera Competition and Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions/New England region. Mr. Moran is a graduate of both McGill University in Montreal and the Yale School of Music.
