CONTEST ANNOUNCEMENT
If you hear me repeat a song* without it being in the context of a
remastered/reissued episode from the past or a "best-of" collection,
leave a note in the comments here or the Blogger site and tell me I'm busted.
This
applies not only to songs in upcoming shows, but also songs from
episodes that have been released previously, so you'll want to keep the
files around for a re-listen or a re-examination at a later date.
You'll
get a prize valued at, oh, about $6. But its actual worth is much more.
Supplies are limited to, let's say, the first 10 respondents who
correctly spot the repeated song, if such a thing happens.
(And yes, for those who are fans of Gustav Bertha's Way Past Bedtime podcast -- and really, shouldn't everyone be a fan of that? -- this is totally ripped off from his offer to careful listeners.)

By the same song, I mean the same track -- the same artist doing the
same song in the same recording session. A song introduced as "the demo
version" or "a live take on a song you've heard before" or performed by
an entirely different band doesn't count. I'm talking here about a
repeat of the same listening experience, signifying either carelessness
or laziness on Ye Olde Podcaster's part.
