If you are a regular user of Microsoft Outlook and using it for managing all your emails and other Outlook objects like contacts, notes, tasks etc. then it might be possible that you may face some typical PST file size related issues. PST (Personal Folder File), the most significant file of Outlook has the size limitation that it can not grow more than 2 GB size. If it exceeds more than 2 GB then the PST file may get corrupted and you could loss all your entire Outlook data.
However, the 2 GB PST file size limit was applicable upto Outlook 2002 and its earlier versions. In later versions the size limit has been increased. Suppose you are using Outlook 2002 then you might receive the following error :

Also using the Inbox repair tool does not solve this problem. When the size of PST file reached to its maximum limit then to avoid the corruption of file it becomes necessary to take some preventive measures to make the size of PST file small. To resolve the above mentioned error, a free utility named as PST2GB is provided by Microsoft. This utility may work but has some specific limitations like it can truncate some of your data which might be useful for you.
On the other hand, one of the easiest and safest method to avoid the PST file corruption issue is to
split large PST file into small and manageable .pst files. A large PST file can be splitted into separate files on different criteria like
email id, date, time and folder size etc. Splitting the large PST file helps in enhancing the performance of Outlook, manages and reduces the size of large PST file. To split a large PST file, a third party software such as
