Yes, for those that didn't know, K'Naan didn't just show up on the scene last year with the Troubadour album, or a few months ago with the World Cup Wavin' Flag remix. K'Naan has been grinding for a while. In fact, peep the photo of a wax press 4th Wurld received personally from K'Naan copyrighted 2003.
In the interview, K'Naan discusses his passions, his reasons for making music, his views on the struggle in the Congo, and 4th Wurld even gets K'Naan's opinion on trivial accolades presented to activists from powers that be to distract them from their obligation to the people. Let's pray that the World Cup hype doesn't do that to K'Naan himself, for the lure of a #1 single in 11 countries and 2 Billion fans watching you at the opening day concert of the World Cup can definitely do some thangs to yuh if yuh don't stay focused.
