Podcast Episode Summary
This weeks guest mix comes from Germanys Kaiserdisco...The two producers and DJs from Hamburg, Frederic Berger and Patrick Buck met in summer 2008 while producing their respective projects „NUDISCO“ and „KAISER SOUZAI“ for „HI FREAKS“. They discovered a strong connection while getting to know each other, and couldn't wait to work together.
While Frederic could already celebrate various successes as part of NUDISCO, and Patrick could say the same as a member of KAISER SOUZAI; common sympathies bring people together, and so the way was paved for the creation of their new project, KAISERDISCO.
The boys have gone all out for 2009. In February they debuted on the Cologne cult label MBF and earned respect from DJs such as Format:B, Len Faki, Technasia, Joseph Capriati and more with their “Pipe!” EP (MBF 052). The follow-up came soon after, and with the Zapateria EP (MBF 055). The title song, “Espandrillo” was played and charted by Richie Hawtin for over two months and was more than 5 months on the Beatport techno charts. But the boys had another release only 6 weeks later on Kiddaz.FM's house label Style Rockets, the Loco Ritmo EP, just to prove that they are here to stay.
Frederic and Patrick have definitely proven that even in today's difficult times in electronic music and the entire music business that with hard work and hard core talent, rising to the top of the field of “Electronics” is possible, no matter how strong the competition is!
The best DJ mixes - the ones that keep you coming back time and again - the ones that find a groove and nail it. This mix definitely falls into those that category's, its a digital delight of tech house and techno that features unreleased tracks from Kaiserdisco.
