Low Cost Podcasting
What is true about podcasting, unlike other forms of broadcasting or advertising, is that podcasting costs are very low, and it is inexpensive to start up a podcast. What scares the majority of the podcasting community is that there is nothing to stop the big advertisers from coming in and starting podcasts themselves with higher budgets, which could take away a large community of listeners.
