No Illegal Content In Your Podcast
Interestingly podcast can contain almost about anything as long as it is not illegal. For instance some podcast could contain just the various noises of birds. Others may contain various noises from the ocean and still others may contain noises from deep within a forest. These kinds of podcasts are very soothing to listeners and can become very popular among those who are seeking soothing and comforting noise. Aside from these noises, the podcaster could record the noises of a city or of traffic on the freeway. While we may not immediately uses is in these types of noises, some listeners may find an important.
A general common courtesy for your listeners is to focus on one topic per podcast. This isn’t exactly a rule or law common it is smart to stick to one topic as this is most pleasing to your listeners. If you change topics considerably throughout the podcast, you are likely to lose the interest of your listeners who will then unsubscribe and no longer follow your story. As it is generally expected that your listeners are following your podcast because of your topic, it can be easy to lose them if you change.
However, it is generally accepted that your podcast change and evolve over time. For instance, delete if you are producing a podcast on politics following the Republican Party, you will pretty much be expected to follow all of the new and upcoming events within politics from that party. You can change focus over time to look at different aspects of politics within that party or are you may change focus to dealing with specific aspects of our party versus the overall party itself.
If you start to notice that your podcast is not generating an audience and has very few subscribers, you may consider changing your focus. This is acceptable because you have an already generated a following and so therefore you will not be disrupting your listeners.
