Will Big Companies Ruin Podcasting

Technically, nothing is wrong with big companies pouring a bundle of money into advertising and development, but this would cause problems for the myriad of individual podcasters who are working for themselves on limited budgets. It would make things harder for other podcasters to get public exposure should this happen and would cut back on the greatest things about podcasting: the low cost of production with just a computer, a microphone, and a little imagination.
