Blues Podcasts
When it comes to the blues there is nothing like the soothing sounds, the sensuality of the instruments, to the voices and don't forget the history. The genesis of the blues is akin to the beginning of life. In the beginning of the blues it was recorded by nothing other than pure memory and then it was relayed only live and only in person.
The blues began back on the North Mississippi Delta after the Civil War. The beginning of the blues was influenced by African roots, ballads, field hollers, rhythmic dance tunes and church music. This all evolved into the engagement of a call and response with the singer and the guitar. He would sing his line and his guitar would reply.
