Reggae Podcasts
The roots of reggae come from the music genre which started back in the later '60s in Jamaica. Sometimes you'll find that reggae is used in a much more broad sense to refer to almost all the different types of the Jamaican music but the term reggae actually refers to a specific musical style which followed the origination of ska and rocksteady development.
Reggae is based upon rhythmic styling which has the characterizations on the accent of skank, a.k.a. the offbeat. Ska is faster than reggae but is much more rapidly than rocksteady. For those familiar with music reggae is something that accents the 2nd and 4th beats in each bar and the rhythm guitar emphasizes the 3rd beat or holds the chord on the 2nd beat until the 4th is played.
